Doraemon Future Department Store: Closed Until 30 November 2026, With a Pop-Up at Tokyo Dome City

The Doraemon Future Department Store is the official Doraemon shop on the second floor of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba. It is closed for renovation from 1 October to 30 November 2026, and the official notice gives the reopening date as Tuesday 1 December 2026.

From 9 October to 23 November, the shop runs a pop-up at Tokyo Dome City. The notices for both are in Japanese, and the mall’s English page for the shop does not mention the closure (checked 4 October 2026).

This guide covers the closure dates, the pop-up, the Doraemon shop in Shibuya, and the attraction that older guides still describe.

The Doraemon Future Department Store in Odaiba Is Closed Until 30 November

A notice posted on 17 July 2026 announced the closure. The last day of trading was Wednesday 30 September 2026, and the shop closed from 1 October for renovation, with the reopening given only as early December.

A later notice, posted on 2 October 2026, fixed the date: the shop reopens on Tuesday 1 December 2026, and the closure runs from 1 October to 30 November. The hours after reopening are 11:00–20:00 on weekdays and 10:00–21:00 on weekends and public holidays, and the notice adds that they may change depending on circumstances.

On what changes, the notice mentions goods sold only at the shop and new items marking the renewal. It does not say what else will be different, or how entry will work on the first day.

DiverCity Tokyo Plaza’s English access page gives the walk as 5 minutes from Daiba Station on the Yurikamome and 3 minutes from Exit B of Tokyo Teleport Station on the Rinkai Line.

What this is
The Odaiba store is in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. If you want to stay in the Odaiba area, this opens a hotel search for Odaiba, so you can set your own dates. We have not stayed at any of these. We are not recommending a hotel — we are pointing you at the list.

The Pop-Up at Tokyo Dome City

The pop-up is called Doraemon Future Department Store IN Tokyo Dome City 2026. It is in Central Park, inside Tokyo Dome City (1-3-61 Koraku, Bunkyo-ku), from Friday 9 October to Monday 23 November 2026, a public holiday, from 11:00 to 19:00. The notice adds that the hours follow the facility’s and may change depending on circumstances.

The notice describes the stock as mainly the shop’s own original goods, with new items. Some of the items made for the reopening are on display there before they go on sale on 1 December. A postcard with a neon design based on the renewed shop goes on sale there first, at ¥550 each. With a purchase of ¥2,000 or more, you get a sticker whose design changes each month, one per purchase, while stocks last.

The notice does not mention an entry charge or a reservation. It gives the place only as Central Park, inside Tokyo Dome City; we did not find where in the park the shop stands. Tokyo Dome City’s English map marks its information counters.

Tokyo Dome City lists its nearest stations as Suidobashi on the JR lines (West Exit) and on the Toei Mita Line (Exit A2), Korakuen on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi and Namboku Lines (Exit 2), and Kasuga on the Toei Oedo Line (Exit 6).

THE DORAEMON STORE in Shibuya

The pop-up’s last day is 23 November, and the Odaiba store reopens on 1 December. The notices we read give no dates for the Doraemon Future Department Store in between.

THE DORAEMON STORE is a separate shop, run by Benelic, the same company that runs the Doraemon Future Department Store. It is on the fifth floor of Shibuya PARCO (15-1 Udagawacho, Shibuya-ku) and has been open since 3 September 2025. It lists its hours as 11:00–21:00, with closed days following the building’s, and adds that its closed days and hours may change.

Shibuya PARCO’s page describes it as a shop centred on Doraemon fashion items and small interior goods. The pop-up notice lists it among the shops carrying the new cardigan and socks; we did not find a statement on how much else of the department store’s stock it carries.

The Secret Gadget Lab Has Closed

Some English guides still describe the Secret Gadget Lab, where you could try a take-copter and other gadgets from the series. A notice from the shop, posted on 28 August 2024, says the attraction ended on 16 September 2024, and that the coins used to play it went off sale with it. The same notice says the space was to be redone to enlarge the goods area.

Before You Go

The dates are published in the shop’s announcements, in Japanese. The mall’s English page for the shop asks you to check the hours in the shop’s own announcements. The details above: Checked 4 October 2026.

While the Odaiba store is closed, the closure notice points to the shop’s online store and to the online store of the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum shop. If you are going to the museum itself, our guide to the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum covers how to book it.
